Once again the kids are a bit irritating, the story is overly sentimental in most points, and it doesn't compare the high chaos comedy of The Money Pit, at least the first film was more bearable. They know they don't have enough room for a pleasant life in Nick's apartment, so they make plans to buy a house in the suburbs, and they find what they think is the ideal home from eccentric contractor Chuck Mitchell, Jr. Basically Nick Persons (Ice Cube) and pregnant Suzanne (Nia Long) have married, which means he has adopted the kids Lindsey (Aleisha Allen) and Kevin (Philip Daniel Bolden).
